Our jacuzzi tub wasn't working and night maintenance wasn't able to fix it. Front desk offered a nightly rate discount which we appreciated it. However, something else happened again this morning. Checkout time was set for 12pm and as we were still asleep, room service started knocking on our door at 9am, opened it and almost entered the room without our permission. It was supposed to be a great anniversary night for us and it was just a total disappointment. We would've just gotten a regular room for $50 cheaper if we knew this was going to be the case. Little did we knew about the quality of room noise reduction there, I also clearly heard the guy above our room peeing 4 times a night and flushing his toilet. The meager discount we got was below our expectations. Edit: The general manager has reached to us and resolved the issue.
Customer service was excellent. Very pleasant front desk employees who answer your questions and inquiries with a smile. Rooms were very big and clean.
The room was beautiful and the ensuite jet tub was great too. Very clean and comfortable room. Staff was friendly. I would definitely stay there again.
From check in to check out I felt like a VIP guest and I’m really not, I used a discount I had and was still treated well, given a complimentary upgrade and then had the front desk call and check if the room was to my liking. The staff is amazing, i stay here once or twice a year for flights and I will never stay anywhere else now, for sure. Thank you Sandman Calgary airport staff for making this such a pleasant stay!! Clean rooms, quiet, good restaurant options.
My hubby and I rented the jacuzzi suite for our anniversary and it was the first time we have dome something special for just the two of us without kids in 1.5 years. We are excited and booked it with the intent of celebrating our wedding anniversary and sleeping in on a Sunday morning (which hasn't happened is a long time). The tub didn't work ( there was a tech that came to look at it and we got offered a different suite which was too late to move into, light switches were hit or miss with working and to top it all off I had a housekeeper knocking and entering the suite before 9am in the morning while we were in bed (you can imagine the scene...). Needless to say not impressed that we got to overpay for a room ($150) with a non functioning jacuzzi and being woken up before 9 am when we haven't vacated the room on a Sunday. The front desk never inquired on how our stay was or if there was any feedback on our behalf nor attempted to make our stay better/special in any way. EDIT: The GM has reached out to my husband formally to apologize and to offer a discount for the visit. Due to the follow up, feedback and resolution I have now updated my review from 2 stars to 4. Thank you.
